CHOICE
Life is full of choices. Man born of a woman is created with the ability to choose. For example you chose to read this page now otherwise you would have left. Everything you do daily is as a matter of your choice. You choose what to wear and eat. You choose the house you now live in and even the car you drive. You also choose who you serve and obey, God or satan. You choose your friends as well (Proverbs 12:26).
However, there are some things that you cannot control and probably, that may be outside the power of choice. For instance, you don't choose who your biological parents should be. You can't choose your sex before you were born.
As much as you may not be able to choose all things that should happen to you, i still believe that you can control through the power of choice what effect they may have on you. For instance, Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy by just forgiving those who offended you or casting all your worries unto the Lord. Try it and you will see the river of joy that brings peace flowing into your heart.
Some Scriptures that reveal your power to choose;
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live"
Deuteronomy 30:19
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Joshua 24:15.
